Festival

We are looking forward to another great festival in 2010.  We will begin on February 1 and continue right on through until the end of the month.  Our Honours Concert will be held Friday, Feb. 26th and our Dance Gala will be the following night - Feb. 27th.  Tickets for both shows are $10 and proceeds go to support our bursary funds.

Accommodations:  For our out of town participants, we have obtained a discounted rate for hotel rooms starting at $100 at The Westerly Hotel.  It is conveniently located downtown not far from the Sid Williams Theatre.  To guarantee obtaining this rate, room should be booked prior to January 1st.  The hotel will do it's best to honor the rate after that date but cannont guarantee it.  Just state that you are in town to perform/participate in the North Island Festival of Performing Arts.  If there are any questions or concerns, please ask for Corrine Berg.

Festival Admission 
$2.00 per session (cash only)
Performers do NOT pay admission for the sessions in which they are performing. 

Festival passes (good for the entire festival)
Adult/Senior:  $10.00 (cash only)
Child:  $5.00 (cash only)
Avoid any delay getting into your seat, stop by the after Sid Feb. 1st and get your Pass.  You don't have to wait until your discipline begins! 

Festival Rules and Regulations for our viewing audience (including participants)
  1. Recording of any performance, in any format (audio, video, camera, cell phone photos) is not permitted.  Participant will be disqualified and you will be asked to leave.
  2. Remain seated and quiet during performances AND adjudications.
  3. All electronic equipment to be turned off - including games, cell phones, pagers, watches with alarms, and any other equipment which may be distratcing by sound or sight.
  4. No food or drink in the theatre - except water in plastic bottles.
  5. Please keep feet off the seats and the backs of the seats.
  6. NO talking to the adjudicator.  Any questions or concerns, please speak to the Festival Director.
